Speaking of destruction and angels leading Lot & Co out of it, I have been, and still am, amazed at why YHWH would use such crude methods for accomplishing a fairly easy task.
Why send fire and brimstone raining over a city if the goal is to kill the residents?
Think about it. YHWH created them and supposedly knows and remembers them (to someday maybe ressurect them) on a molecular level. If he wanted them dead, all his omnipotence had to do is maybe switch a gene, maybe give them a cardiac arrest, maybe paralyze their breathing, whatever. I mean, he had all the intricate tools blueprints, process maps and anything else requitred to render them non-existent. Why kill a flea with a sledge hammer? For show?
What he did is the equivalent of turning off the Blue Gene off by blowing up the building, insted of just flicking the power switch.

In Florida, a Hall building was delayed, because the basement hadn't been back filled and the brothers had no means to do so.
OK, lemme see. We start a building and we run out of money before even the hole around the foundation is backfilled? Great planning, brothers!

guilt tripping isn't working!

he asked me how i was doing and i smiled real big and told him i was doing wonderful!!!
he was completely confused because i think i was supposed to be feeling bad and guilty for not going out in service and feeling like the wrath of jehovah was upon me.

Another good answer for the "Encouragement" BS is to ask: "Thanks for stopping by brother (...........), but what makes you think that I am in any way discouraged?"
There is no rational answer if your appearance and attitude seem upbeat, but the fake insertion of the "Discouraged" state by propaganda. Someone on the fence may actually bite and try to answer the question to themselves...

la noche anterior habia estado discutiendo con steve y el se habia puesto furioso conmigo, asi que estaba triste y me sentia muy mal.

Translation accuracy seems a crap shoot to me.
The Bulgarian version says "..Steve had hit me the night before, when I was trying to prove to him that I was right". Russian mag says virtually the same....Also, in both versions Selma felt "sorry for herself."
EDIT: I just noticed the caption to the picture on the same page. Three differend versions (and meanings) in three different languages:
English: "Show concern for unbelieving mates"
Russian: "Show interest to unbelieving men and women"
Bulgarian: "Keep showing interest to unbelieving relatives"
So, hmm, brothers, which one is it?
